Overarching Statement
As a former person who loves to do artistic things, I didn't really grow up in an artistic family. My family is very cultured. But, I did some art mostly on my own. I never made time for art. So, I would always put it aside and would never do it. But, sometimes you have to make time in order to do the things you love. Sometimes, when you do something you love, it doesn't feel like work. And, over the past 2 quarters, of doing things an artist would do, it helps me to feel like an artist. I hope to continue and to grow even though I don't have art class anymore and be better in the near future.
REFLECTION
What was your most successful project this semester? Describe the project and your work, then explain why this particular project was successful for you.
My most successful project I would say this semester would be printmaking because even though I was not familiar with this artwork it was easy for me to work with this and it even helped me to see a different way to do nature with art. For my printmaking artwork I made a rose. Meaning the rose represented the Perfection of a person meaning me. But the thorns on the Roses basically the imperfections and things that I need to work on.
What was a project this semester you would change if you could? Describe the project and your work, including what you didn’t like about the work, then explain what you could have done differently to improve the result.
One of the artwork that I would like to change if I could was the painting with acrylic paint because I did not put as much effort as I wanted to. It was difficult for me to work with acrylic painting. And what I would have done differently if I would have had a second chance to do painting with acrylic I would put more time and effort into my work to make it look better and more presentable.
What is a media that you enjoyed working with this semester? Write about what the media was, explain why you liked it and give examples of work you created with it.
One of the media that I enjoyed working with it is one of my favorite artistic painting skills. And it is artistic painting skills and it is probably one of my strongest suit in artwork. It was probably the one I worked with as a child.
